Acrylic on Stretched Canvas | 16 x 20”

This is up there as one of my favourite paintings to date for a couple reasons. One, chocolate chip cookies were a staple in my mom’s kitchen. She was that mom who had the recipe that everyone wanted and the cookies that got me the best trades at lunchtime in school. Chocolate chip cookies are full of nostalgia and warm feelings for me as I’m sure they are for many. Two, This image is my interpretation of a poster I saw in the most unlikely of places. I was exploring New York City with a group of girlfriends and we were searching for a washroom (you know how it is). This poster was an ad hanging in a narrow hallway in a public library. I had to stop. It was the prettiest picture id ever seen… until this painting that is.
